Welcome to Bo's Lab

Bo Tian

Professor at Xiamen University

Dr. Bo Tian is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Xiamen University. He received his BSc in Physics from Xiamen University and his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He then conducted postdoctoral research as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore.

Dr. Tian’s research focuses on the on-chip integration of 2D materials, low-dimensional condensed-matter physics, and AI-driven automated lab for 2D semiconductors. Dr. Tian has authored over 20 papers in leading international journals, including Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Science. He was awarded the Outstanding PhD Thesis Award (Carbon Journal Prize) by Elsevier in 2023. He currently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Carbon and is an invited reviewer for more than 30 peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, and Advanced Materials.
